home of the Wildlife Museum is located in Chinook's downtown business district.
At this time, please call or email for the opening date.
This will be a one of a kind facility in Montana, where the State's wildlife species
will be displayed in their natural habitat. The facility will include a gift shop
featuring the work of Montana artists, carvers and taxidermists. The role the
State's various animal species played in the history of Montana will be brought
to life through permanent exhibits, displays, historic narrations and sound
effects.
The Blaine County Wildlife Museum has a tremendous amount of support from
the community of Chinook and the surrounding area. With a determined Board
of Directors, most of the renovation has been completed on the building and
work on the exhibits has begun. Many mounted wildlife specimens have been
acquired and are on display. Local fund-raisers are held annually and
supporters are able to adopt animals that will be placed in permanent exhibits
to assist in costs.
The Board has held numerous open house events over the years to offer the
public a chance to see the progress on the extensive renovation of the building
and to see the collection of mounted animals.
This extremely successful fund-raiser is held every year in benefit
of the Museum. The evening consists of a banquet and auction.
Over the years, tickets have sold out as a crowd of supporters
come together to enjoy the dinner and raise money for the
Wildlife Museum.
Call or Email for details about the Banquet & Auction or for tickets.
